sphere in openGL ES ++IRC

Can anyone help me create a sphere in openGL ES for the iphone?



If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it...

Ive been using GL_TRIANGLE_STRIP but alas this hasn't worked out as planned!
I have converted several examples from c++ to objective c but they do not
produce a sphere as I would like - can anyone please help me with this? I
seem to be having difficulties finding an openGL ES irc community - can
anyone also suggest where I might locate the community? J
