He's not happy to walk across the floor: that's where this discussion
started (see the thread "Bypassing Interface Builder"). He wants to
remove the floorboards, because the last building he lived in only had
bare joists and beams and he doesn't like that he can't see them in
this building (especially as he knows they must be there somewhere).
Sure, he could still get anywhere in the building without floorboards,
but those of us who understand their purpose are trying to make his
life easier.
