This has gotten way out of hand.

I want to apologize for coming off "surly"/rude.

I think I expected a certain type of answer to my original question and
when it was clear that the thread was moving in another direction, I
reacted.

Sorry about that.

I think I'll just give up on this topic for now.  It's not worth all this.
