Indeed not. That still doesn't change what I said, however. Whether
Box Ltd. is legitimate or not, Mike's post is potentially actionable
and he's unlikely to be in possession of any evidence that would hold
up in court. Which makes it, at best, ill judged.
I've read through the archives and it sounds to me like it was most
probably an unfortunate misunderstanding. And maybe the interviewer
in question was abusing the process, but then again maybe not, it's
hard to tell; even if they were, Box Ltd. may not itself be to blame
(it could just have been that one interviewer). At the end of the day
though, this post makes it sound like Mike has an axe to grind. Not
that I'm saying that he does---it just *sounds* that way.
If Mike had simply said that he felt that a previous phone interview
with Box Ltd. had been abusive and warned people to be on their guard,
it would be a different matter, but that's not what he did---instead,
he told everyone not to apply for their jobs and claimed that "it's a
scam".
Anyway, that's my two cents on the matter. I don't know or have any
relation to either Mike or Box Ltd.
For the benefit of others who are wondering what this is all about:
