Clipping of subviews

I am having a container view which has a non-rectangular shape 
(rounded corner rectangle with some inset, to be precise). I would 
like to clip its subviews so they an not draw over the non-rectangular 
border. Is there an easy way to do this? I wasn’t able to find 
anything straightforward in the documentation.
