I would. I wouldn't think about embarrassment, or at least I would try
to suppress any such thoughts. I'm sure your readers are familiar with
the concept of a beta program, and understands the pros & cons. Like
you said, most people will probably buy the printed version, and if
you can make it better by getting feedback on the PDF version,
everyone wins.
