demo application date keeping

Hi,
Where can I keep the installation date info in the
system.In the user perference panel or the Bundle.

I have some doubts also,If i kept the details in user
preference panel,he can delete that file and reset the
period.if it is in the application folder,
the user replace that app file with intial building
it will again reset.
