Menulet trouble

Hi to everybody:
Iīm deal with menulets using the Andrew Turner's article "Writing a
menulet extension" in MacTech. All my code work fine, but I have two
problems:
1) I donīt know how hide/show dinamicaly the menulet from the menu bar.
2) I like interchange diferents icons in the menu bar to reflect
diferents modules in my applications.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
