How to disable the system beep when running NSSavePanel

Hello all,
I am working on a C++ application in which I create
and run a NSSavePanel in a modal loop. The only
problem is that when the panel is running, the system
beeps everytime a keyboard key is pressed. Is there a
simple way to disable this? Thanks.
