Unable to delete controls in Interface Builder

Hi,

I had posted the following to the macosx-dev list at omnigroup but
perhaps this is a better place for posting this question. Basically, I
am having problems deleting controls in Interface Builder.  When I
select a text field control (or any control on my window for that
matter) and hit the delete key, IB says "You cannot delete these
objects from the document".

Could this a be a NIB corruption issue?  I am able to build my app and
it works fine but I would like to delete these text fields because I
don't use them anymore.
