I am trying to find some examples and information about creating my own
unicode keyboard layouts for a little known language with its own
unicode character set.
I played with editing the files at
/System/Library/Keyboard\
Layouts/Unicode.bundle/Contents/Resources/AfghanDari.keylayout
I switched my input mode to AfghanDari and edited this files. Even
after I restarted the changes made to this file had no effect. In fact,
deleting it and the corresponding references in
/System/Library/Keyboard\ Layouts/Unicode.bundle/Contents/Info.plist
and
/System/Library/Keyboard\
Layouts/Unicode.bundle/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/
InfoPlist.strings
did not even remove it as a functioning choice from my input modes
menu. Strange considering this appears to be the obvious storage
location for this data. Anyone know how I can make my own set or edit
one of the existing ones?
Thanks,
Adam
