mlRe: [OT] WWDC hotels for car-less people?

In the past I stayed at the following hotels while attending the WWDC.

The Argent Hotel is a very nice 4 star hotel 2 blocks from the convention center. This one is on the expensive side.

Hotel Nikko is nearly as nice, has a pool and a Starbucks on the ground floor. It is some 4 or 5 blocks from the convention center.

On past visits to San Francisco I have repeatedly statyed at the Ramada Bedford Inn. This is a comfortable 3 star some 5 or 6 blocks from the convention center. This is a good value.

Moreover the convention center is about 2 blocks from the cable car which gets you all the way accross to Fisherman's Wharf in no time.
