Hi,
I'm also in the same boat coming from the UK, so what I did is look up the
WWDC hotel address's in google maps, and then I saw where the hotels are in
relation to the conference.
To me Hotel San Francisco Marriot, is the closes (Oposite the Sony
Metreon), but doesn't have a WWDC rate :-(. Getting from the Airport you can
use the Airport Shuttle cabs, which does the job and then no need for a car.
