libmx.A.dylib missing?

My app runs fine under Panther (and Tiger), but it gets this error when run
under Jaguar 10.2.8. What does it mean, and how can I fix it?

"can't open library: /usr/lib/libmx.A.dylib  (No such file or directory,
errno = 2)"
