Help in dissertation ideas

Hi I was wondering if people could help me,

I am a current student on placement doing a computer programming
degree, I am stuck for dissertation ideas, I want to do my dissertation
using mac programming, using objective-c and the cocoa APIs but i have
no idea what I could do?
