NSOutlineView NSButtonCell selection

Hello,

I have an outline view with one column set to display NSButtonCells.
Everytime clicking on a button will select the appropriate row.
What do I have to so that the row won't be selected when clicking on the
button?
When setting outlineView:shouldSelectItem to return NO, I can't even select
the button.
