Yes, you're right there is no right answer. I'm hoping that a few
folks on this list will share their experience with us. For example,
if you have a Panther only product do you get many users requesting a
Jaguar version? I'm a single developer of shareware software so my
resources are limited. My time is most valuable!

Sure. It's also about how much faster and easier (fun!) it is to
create a product using Apple's frameworks instead of a smorgasbord of
open-source libraries.
