mlObjective-C third party framework/code repository... (Semi-OT?)

Before I go and do this, I just want to verify that A) no one else has
already done it, and B) that I'm not missing some obvious reason not
to...

I'd like to create an Objective-C/Cocoa third party framework/code
repository/database.  Similar to the "Vaults of Parnassus"
(http://www.vex.net/parnassus/) which is available for python.  I see
this as a website with a database where folks can go post links to open
source utility frameworks that they have posted on the web.  I realize
the cocoadev wiki has a page for this, but I think it'd be cooler to
have something with version numbers, and searchable license info etc
etc... perhaps even with some sort of xml-rpc api that could be queried
to autoinstall said frameworks for development (though that's much
further down the road).

So my question is, am I re-inventing the wheel?  Would anyone else find
this to be useful?
