Plus, it wouldn't matter if you got the docs on how to build Dashboard
widgets, since you'd still need Tiger to put it to any use (and you can
only get Tiger by having a seed key).
I agree with Charlton; Select membership is worthwhile. Even if you
don't plan on getting new hardware anytime soon, you could still think
of it as really being a lot less than the $500 US price, because you'd
get the Tiger retail version once it's ready. Plus you'd get to play
with cool stuff between now and then. I've temporarily let my own
Select membership lapse a month ago (of course, I made sure to buy my
new computer first!) and I've been missing it already. Planning on
fixing that situation someday soon...
