mlRe: How to implement iChat's smiley popup in the text entry field

Menus used to use cells, but now Cocoa just uses Carbon to display
menus, so the concept of a customizable "cell," per se, is lost.  If
anybody needs to do a highly customized menu, I would look into using
the Carbon API directly.
