There's a substantial amount of documentation already on your computer.
Assuming you've installed the developer tools in the usual location, you
can find it in /Developer/Documentation/.

The "Object Oriented Programming and the Objective-C Language" book is
particularly useful with regard to the issues you asked about. It's at
/Developer/Documentation/Cocoa/ObjectiveC/.
