If you are interested in a good database abstraction layer for Objective-C you should checkout MObjectiveSQL:

Subject: Database access in Cocoa program
Hello,
There was some recent discussion about it on the list and someone
mentioned that Apple removed support for EO Models in Cocoa. However
when you start PB and choose new project, one of the listed options is
Cocoa Enterprise Object Application (although it is in WebObjects
section of applications). I tried to create this type of application,
but was not able neither to run it nor bring up Interface builder. The
latter would "unexpectedly quit" each time I click on Main.nib. I
searched all over the internet for "Cocoa Enterprise Object
Application" with no results. Is it Apple's best kept secret?
Anyone tried it? Using JDBC framework is OK, but it requires Java to
run, that probably make things a bit slower. I would prefer to use EO
Modeler, it makes life easier (if it would work) :)
Thanks,
Sergei
