Inherited a project for a local (Sacramento) FDA regulated
medical services company where their internal enterprise code
is in 4D under classic MacOS. They want me to re-write it. They
already have invested in mostly Macs at their plant. Anyone
have good experiences, or otherwise, using 4D 6.8 under X?
If I should use something else, the time for me to say it is in
the next two weeks before I start (and we sign the contract).
Long time away from 4D. Last time I used it was owned by
ACIUS in Cupertino. I'm vaguely aware that their was some
product splitting and buying that happened. Funny I saw them
in the back middle of Hall C at MacWorld San Francisco a few
weeks ago. That was before I had any idea that I would be doing
this project.
Thanks for any info or advice that you can share. Comments
off-line would be appreciated (per developing with it and or setting
up and maintaining a db).
