sound input

I'm just starting to port my programs to OSX.

Is there any good documentation for sound input in OSX? I'm getting
errors for PBGetDeviceInfo() and PBSetDeviceInfo() calls which work
under MacOS 9.2 on the same machine. Probably a different driver. The
only documentation I've found is from old Inside Mac books which
still use Pascal for example code.

TiPB 800 (DVI),
MacOS 9.2.2 and OSX.2.3 in separate partitions,
compiling with MPW and Project Builder 2.1, respectively.
