Seems to me that one could say that the metallized look shouldn't be
used in a Document application and that sheets shouldn't be used on a
metallized window. If they were so-inclined, Apple could control this
by disabling sheets on metallized windows and preventing the metallized
display on document windows. (Of course, someone would be offended by
this!)
Regarding games, I think a game like the old puzzle would make sense in
a metallized window and a floating metallized controller like the Video
Player has a place in an application which takes over the entire screen.
I like the look of metal windows and I feel that something like a metal
calculator can really stand out on a screen loaded up with a lot of
windows. However, putting up too much scrap metal would make the
screen look like a junkyard!
I would be nice if Apple provided a nice collection of buttons and
other controls to use in a metalized window before everyone writes
their own and completely fragments this alternate UI.
