Care to comment on this API in particular?  When can we expect it to
move from Private to Public?  I am almost finished with one of my
applications, but will be leaving off group scheduling because of this
issue.  As I have stated before, I will not wait forever.  If apple is
unwilling or unable to provide access to the Address Book, and very
soon, I will be forced to code my own.  It's not that hard really.  My
only reluctance, is the lack of integration it affords the user.

It looks like I'm not the only one here with interest in accessing the
address book.  Some of them may be interested to know, that my calendar
application, will include an API for accessing its server.  It was a
requirement to support my other applications.  That API will be public. 
And at some point documented. :-)

If Apple can help us out before we find alternatives, all of our
applications should cooperate well.  Assuming Palm ever adopts the same
API or provides conduits for  keeping contacts synchronized between a
palm and AB, we should get that functionality for free.

I'm still waiting, but not nearly as patiently anymore.
