becomeKeyOnlyIfNeeded vs. limitedBecomeKey

Does anybody know what the limitedBecomeKey flag in NSWindow is for? Is
this related to the 3.1 call "becomeKeyOnlyIfNeeded:?" I'm porting some
old code and I used becomeKeyOnlyIfNeeded:. It was a neat feature.
