If it's a wrapper which crosses a fork/exec boundry to exec lame then
you can use whatever license you want to use for your program. It's
only if you link with LAME itself (e.g. you added a -gui option to the
lame binary and had it be responsible for putting up the UI) that your
work falls under the GPL.
