Debugging a crash with CIContext and drawImage

  • I have written a video application that plays by sending CIImage
    objects to a custom view that displays them like so...

    [context drawImage:backgroundImage atPoint:cg.origin fromRect:cg];

    I am getting a crash at random points after I start playing the video
    that happen at this point.  The problem is that I'm new to cocoa and I
    don't understand what the debugger is trying to tell me.

    The last thing in the debugger is this:

    objc_msgSend

    I sort of get the feeling that something is not keeping up with the
    rate at which I am calling drawImage, but I have no idea what.  Can
    anyone light my way a little?

    Thanks!

    A crash in objc_msgSend means that the app sent a message to a
    deallocated object. Search the archives for "NSZombieEnabled" for
    details on how to debug this situation.
