detect button selection in NSMatrix

  • Hello,

I would like to know if there's a way to be notified every time the
selected button in an NSMatrix is changed. Is there a delegate/
notification for this, as I couldn't fine one? Overriding such
methods as selectedCell: doesn't seem to work in all cases, since it
could change from that method, several others, or user clicks, and
overriding them all doesn't seem like a good solution. I basically
just want to know which button is selected so that I can display it
differently from the others, while at the same time "dim" the held
    down button.

    Thanks,
    Mitchell Livingston
  • Hello, as I see the standard NSResponder subclass with attached to
your NSMatrix IBAction method can be used. This scheme works in one
of my project, where in IBAction method I determine the selected
items and perform some additional processing to allow user select/
unselect and drag the information viewed as matrix of flat state
buttons with different images and labels...
