Automatic shutdown not working

  • One of my iMacs (.386, 10.4.10) refuses to shut down at the given
time. Everytime when I test the behaviour at a time during the day,
    it works fine.
Where can I look for the app that blocks the shut down process?
  • Hi Ruedi

does the iMac have tons of 3rd party s/ware on it?  or is it a
[recently] fresh install?  How are you testing the shutdown behaviour,
presumably by setting the shutdown time to a few minutes in the future
    and just waiting - correct?

Have you checked the /var/log/system.log for anything unusual?
