Not wanting focus on a field

  • In my application, I have a series of NSTextFields which I want to be
editable, but I do NOT want the focus to jump to them once the
containing window gains focus.  I only want these fields to gain
focus if the mouse clicks inside of them (or via a keyboard
command).  But I want it to be the user's choice to select or edit
the field, and not the application's desire to jump to it.

I've been working with various options in Interface Builder, but
nothing seems to get the result I want.  Is this something very easy
that I'm just missing, or is this actually a more complex problem?

    Regards,

    Chad

I think if none are first responder, you'll get the behavior you want.
