My custom prefpane appears in "other". How do I move it?

  • Hi. I just wrote a prefrence pane. After testing it in
~/Library/PreferencePanes, I have placed it in
/System/Library/PreferencePanes. Using either location though, System
Preferences always displays my new preferences bundle at the bottom,
    in the "Other" category.

I want it to appear at the top, in the "Personal" category.

What do I need to change?

    Thanks.

Nothing. Third-party preference panes appear in Other. Period. It's a
    feature.

FWIW, the categorization information is stored in the
NSPrefPaneGroups.plist file inside the System Preferences application
    itself.
