How to change my iChat status message?

  • Hi,

I can change it very easily using Apple Script:

: tell application "iChat" to set status message to "HELLO, WORLD!"

But I can't find a way to do the same thing with Objective-C and
    InstantMessage framework.

Could anyone here please take a look at the problem?

    Thank you.

  • I believe AppleScript would work. But the AppleScript way to start
iChat application. I just wonder if there a way to change the message
without launching iChat. I mean there is an iChatAgent out there keep
the instant messaging working without iChat running.
