Attributed Strings in Popups or WYSIWYG Font Menu

  I'm trying to slap together a simple WYSIWYG font menu such as those
  found in AppleWorks and other apps.
  
  As "the sender of menu item actions is now the NSMenuItem" and not
  NSMatrix I am lost as to how to pull off what seemed to be a rather
  simple trick. Any suggestions?
